Individuals are only eligible if the CRA approves Form T2201 * Individuals must have an impairment in physical or mental functions that is severe or prolonged, resulting in marked restriction.

Eligibility for the credit falls under the following categories:
-Vision
-Speaking
-Hearing
-Walking
-Eliminating (bowel and bladder function)
-Feeding
-Dressing
-Mental functions necessary for daily life
-Cumulative effect of significant limitations
-Life-sustaining therapy

In addition, the applicant's impairment must meet all of the following:
-Is prolonged, which means the impairment has lasted, or is expected to last for a continuous period of at least 12 months
-Is present all or substantially all the time (at least 90% of the time)

-Diabetes (type 1 or 2, or pre-diabetic)
-COPD
-Cardiovascular Disease (for example, heart attack, stroke, high blood pressure, arrhythmia, etc)
-Knee and/or hip osteoarthritis
-Neuromuscular Disease disease (stroke, multiple sclerosis MS, Parkinson's Disease, etc)

Individuals who are blind or partially sighted and own a guide dog

Anyone with an intellectual disability age 2 years and older * Contact the organization if you are unsure if you meet the criteria for intellectual disability

Applicants must:
-Be a Canadian student (or recent graduate) in grades 11, 12, or first year of post-secondary
-Have strong orientation and mobility skills and independent living skills
-Be interested in experiential learning activities and developing leadership skills
-Be determined to work on personal independence and problem-solving skills
-Have demonstrated interest in putting personal strengths to use for the betterment of peers, family, and community
- Be committed to participating in all program activities
