Social, cultural, sport, and recreation programs targeted to youth approximately 10-25 years old. Some programs are for youth with specific needs or challenges such as addictions or victims of bullying.

4-H Projects Provided by: 4-H PEI

Offers a variety of programs for youth to help explore and develop life long skills.
Projects include:

Agriculture (livestock production and management through the experience of owning, caring for, showing and marketing projects, and maintaining records)
Food and Entertaining (opportunities to lean about food preparation and nutrition)
Creative Arts (different areas of art and design)
Industrial Technologies (introductory industrial technical learning projects that will help build useful life skills)
The Great Outdoors (outdoor projects and activities that include recreation and plant projects)
Leadership (for high school students to develop leadership and employment skills)

4-H clubs are located across Epekwitk / PEI.

After-school Program Provided by: BGC Charlottetown - AKA: Formerly Boys and Girls Club of Charlottetown; Boys and Girls Club of Montague; BGC Montague

Provides after-school specialized programs for kids.

Healthy meals and snacks
Physical activity including sports and games
Literacy and homework programs
Mentorship and leadership development
Arts and crafts
Science experiments
Cooking programs
Outdoor activities and play areas
Regular visits to local libraries and parks
Guest speakers and presentations
Participants can enroll in Giant Steps, a homework and education/career counselling program
Participants can enroll in Kid Food Nation, a food class taught by a Red Seal chef

Program is available to members and non-members on school PD days, parent teacher interview days, and a full week camp for Christmas and March break, for an additional fee.

After-School Program Provided by: BGC Prince County - AKA: Boys and Girls Club of Summerside (former name); Wellington and Area Boys and Girls Club (former name)

Kids are picked up from participating schools in Summerside, Wellington and Miscouche, and transported to bgc. Once at the Club, kids are given a healthy snack and can participate in structured organized activities, including:

Doing their homework
Making crafts
Participating in sports and physical activities
Playing cards and board games
Watching a movie
Summerside attendees have access to the Credit Union Place for swimming, bowling, and use of the walking track and ice pad

Offered all day on PD days. Kids do not have to be registered in the regular After School Program to attend on a PD day.

Big Brothers, Big Sisters, and Couples Mentoring Provided by: Big Brothers Big Sisters of Prince Edward Island - AKA: BBBS; BBBS PEI

Provides mentoring for children and youth, matching them with volunteer role models to talk to and share the experiences of growing up. Relationships are developed through:

Support by experienced mentoring coordinators

Provides opportunities for youth to gain knowledge and skills that build confidence and help pave the way in a transition to adulthood. Activities include:

An online virtual club that connects children living with arthritis and other rheumatic diseases, example activities include:

Diabetes HOPE Connects Mentorship Program Provided by: Diabetes Hope Foundation - AKA: DHF

Provides an opportunity to students living with type 1 diabetes to become a mentee or a mentor and have a one-on-one mentorship opportunity.

Drop-in Evening Program Provided by: BGC Prince County - AKA: Boys and Girls Club of Summerside (former name); Wellington and Area Boys and Girls Club (former name)

A variety of evening programs for youth. Activities change throughout the year but can include:

Extreme Crafters Club: participants make unique arts and crafts while reusing, restoring, and recycling materials
Kids in the Kitchen Cooking Club and Kid Food Nation: participants learn the basics of baking and kitchen safety
Kid Tech Nation: kids learn digital skills, coding concepts, internet safety, and computational thinking
Friday Night Drop-in: Activities include sports, arts and crafts, movie nights, video games, flash light tag, and more
