The SVPRO Educator also delivers informative training sessions that promote awareness, prevention, and education for students.

Provides primary and emergency veterinary services for large and small animals. Includes:

• Pets, exotic animals, and pocket pets
• On-farm and off-farm care for horses, cattle, fish, sheep, goats, pigs, and other farm animals
• On-farm and racetrack care for horses

This is a veterinary teaching hospital.

Connects UPEI students with trained peer support staff who have lived through similar challenges. Unlike clinical professionals, peer supporters focus on listening, understanding, and providing a safe, non-judgmental space based on lived experience, helping students feel connected and less alone in their journey toward well-being and recovery.

Offers confidential, short term help to UPEI students dealing with personal, relational or mental health concerns. Includes:

Provides health services to UPEI students, staff, faculty and their families including:

• Pregnancy testing, support, and prenatal care
• Mental health resources (prescriptions and referrals)
• Medical assessments and treatment of illness or injury
• Chronic disease management
• Routine health screening
• Referrals
• Prescriptions
• Immunizations
• Injections and blood collections
• Presentations

UPEI students have access to Student Wellness, which offers 24/7 virtual counselling with professional counsellors. Services are covered through the UPEI student health insurance plan and are available in a wide range of languages through interpreter services.
