Men's Survivor Group

AKA: Men Matter (former name); Men's Support Groups (former name)
Violence and Abuse

Provides a closed, weekly support group for men-identifying adults. The group consists of eight to 12 participants and meets for 10 sessions with consistent membership throughout the program. Facilitated by a male therapist, the group offers opportunities to build peer connections, increase understanding of the impacts of trauma, and engage in mutual support within a structured environment. Sharing personal trauma experiences is not required for participation. Includes:

  • Learning how trauma can affect the body, brain, emotions, and relationships
  • Understanding common trauma responses and why they happen
  • Learning practical coping and regulation skills to manage stress, emotions, and triggers
  • Practicing skills together in a supportive environment
