Youth Therapy Program

Youth and Young Adults

Provides an one-on-one trauma-informed counselling service for youth ages 12 to 18 years who have experienced sexual violence. The program uses a structured, time-limited approach designed to support emotional regulation, coping skill development, and recovery from the impacts of trauma.

Therapy may include:

  • Developing skills to manage and regulate emotions
  • Increasing understanding of trauma and its effects on the brain and body
  • Building self-awareness, self-confidence, and resilience
  • Strengthening interpersonal relationships and healthy boundaries

Therapy is delivered at a pace that aligns with each youth's readiness and therapeutic goals. Participation does not require discussion of traumatic experiences before the youth is prepared to do so.

Services are offered in structured rounds of up to 20 sessions, followed by a planned pause to support integration of learning and progress. Additional services may be available based on individual needs and program capacity.
