Financial assistance programs related to home maintenance, heating assistance, accessibility upgrades, efficiency rebates, heritage places preservation incentives, and programs that support vulnerable people to stay in their homes.

Provides eligible older adults with financial assistance up to $1,800, depending on income, to help them pay for practical services that help them stay in their own homes. Services covered by funding include:

  • General home maintenance
  • Light house keeping
  • Snow removal
  • Grass cutting
  • Meal preparation
  • Transportation
  • Communication devices such as smartphones, computer modem, and WiFi devices
  • Complements supports provided to seniors by Home Care or family members for daily unmet needs
  • Lifeline Medical Alert System

Provides a rebate up to $2000 to eligible property owners who participate to disconnect their sump pump or storm drain system from the municipal sanitary sewer system and redirect it to the exterior of the building, allowing the water to run into ditches, swales, storm catches, etc. This will help to prevent additional storm water that overloads the Town's sanitary sewer mains and prevents from lifting stations which contribute to conserve local energy.
