Designated heritage properties outside Charlottetown and Summerside may be eligible for financial assistance to conserve the building. Assistance may be granted for 25 percent of approved costs to a maximum of $3000.
Owners or groups can apply to have properties designated as a provincial heritage place.
A heritage place can be valued for its historic, cultural, archaeological, paleontological, prehistoric, natural, scientific or aesthetic qualities; and/or because of its connection with a person, group or event.
