Tax credit for PEI residents to help offset the cost of essential household expenses.
Begins July 1, 2026 and replaces the Sales Tax Credit.
All eligible residents will receive at least $175. The amount is combined with the quarterly payments of the federal GST/HST credit. Payments will be labeled PEI Sales Tax Credit but will reflect the enhanced IEB amount.

Provides financial assistance for eligible applicants whose primary residence does not have access to high-speed internet (a 50Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload service). The funding covers one-time costs for internet service providers to complete work that enables access to new or improved internet service.
Approved applicants will receive financial assistance of up to $1,000 total, including a maximum of $350 (HST included) for installation by a registered business.
