Provides a day program to individuals with intellectual and physical disabilities for building life skills and independence through activities such as cooking, gardening, and exercising. Personal interests are encouraged to pursue if preferred.

A voluntary program that helps Canada Pension Plan (CPP) disability benefit recipients return to work.

Individuals receiving a CPP disability benefit may be eligible for vocational counseling, financial support for training, and job-search services.

Services offered may include:
  • Employment counselling and guidance: One-on-one guidance to identify needs, assess education and current job skills, discuss work goals and find out about the current local job market
  • Planning a return to work: A vocational rehabilitation specialist will help develop an individualized return-to-work rehabilitation plan in consultation with the treating doctor or nurse practitioner
  • Improving skills/retraining: CPP may cover the costs to improve skills, upgrade education or retrain to secure a job
  • Developing job-search skills: After work-related rehabilitation is completed, the vocational rehabilitation specialist can help participants find work

  • Social skills: communication, accepting instruction and feedback

Day services are offered at two locations in Summerside and are aimed at improving clients' quality of life. Services can include respite, personal care, developing work and employment skills, and developing friendships.

Water Street West: Services focus on clients accessing the community for various development opportunities, leisure and recreation, and other related activities.

340 Court Street: Provides an employment outreach program with a primary focus on skills training and access to meaningful and independent employment.

Provides assistance for unemployed individuals who are seeking a full-time job or increased employment. Job coaching for specific technical field is also available for a maximum of 12 weeks full-time support or part time support up to a maximum of 26 weeks. Services include:
