Employment

• Employment counselling and guidance: One-on-one guidance to identify needs, assess education and current job skills, discuss work goals and find out about the current local job market
• Planning a return to work: A vocational rehabilitation specialist will help develop an individualized return-to-work rehabilitation plan in consultation with the treating doctor or nurse practitioner
• Improving skills/retraining: CPP may cover the costs to improve skills, upgrade education or retrain to secure a job
• Developing job-search skills: After work-related rehabilitation is completed, the vocational rehabilitation specialist can help participants find work

Provides support and training for job seeker through personalized coaching, career planning, and skills training. Services include:

• Resume and cover letter support
• Transitional support to a new job
• One-on-One employment goal planning and coaching
• Workshops, eLearning, and certifications
• Requesting accommodation
• Disclosing a disability
• Practice in roleplay scenarios using Virtual Environment technology

Provides in-person and online programs to Canadian youth with sigh loss to develop pre-employment, leadership, independence and social skills.

Provides a customized employment program that supports job seekers with disabilities in finding meaningful, sustainable work. Includes:

• Individualized employment counseling
• Career exploration
• Job-readiness training
• Resume development
• Interview preparation
• Job placement support

Follow-up and workplace accommodation assistance are also offered, ensuring that participants have the tools, confidence, and support they need to succeed in the workforce.

• Improving interpersonal, work, and life skills
• Skills development and work opportunities
• Social outings: Concerts, sporting events, theatre, museums and galleries, day trips, and recreation activities
• Learning opportunities with and without certificates: Personal safety, employment skills, art appreciation, music, sport, volunteering, and more

• Physical skills: strength, endurance, mobility, motor skills
• Production skills: attention to task, discrimination, pace, quality, independent work rate
• Social skills: communication, accepting instruction and feedback
• Personal skills: punctuality, attendance, adapting to change, time awareness
