Respite Care

Older Adults

Provides respite for individuals and families experiencing an end-of-life journey. Trained volunteers visit with clients where they live (home, hospital, nursing/community care home). Volunteers are there to listen, read aloud, chat, or just be quietly present with the individual who is ill and to provide a break to the caregiver. Support can also continue into the grieving process after death.

Note: Volunteers do not provide personal care, medication administration or overnight respite services.
