Applicants must meet all of the following conditions:
-At least one of the applicants is a Canadian citizen
-Do not currently own a home
-Can demonstrate that they have been recently declined by a financial institution for mortgage financing to purchase a home
-Must reside in PEI at the time of applying for the pilot program
-Has a satisfactory credit rating and must not have outstanding debt obligations on file in the Province's Central Default Registry
-Total annual household income will be $100,000 or less per annum (family); or $65,000 or less per annum for an individual applicantAn eligible property:
-Will be occupied by the successful program participant as a single-family dwelling, and be their principal residence; rental, seasonal and recreational properties are not eligible
-Must be located in PEI
-Must be pre-existing. New construction financing is not eligible under this program
-Will not exceed program maximum of $350,000 (plus taxes, closing and legal costs)

PEI residents * Home must be a primary year-round residence * Applicant(s) must be the registered owner(s) of the property being upgraded * Not available to new home construction, businesses, rental, seasonal, or recreational properties

To be eligible must be:

-An individual with a disability diagnosed by a health professional
-Experiencing significant impairment as a result of a diagnosed disability that is expected to last for 12 months or more
-A PEI resident with a provincial health number
-A Canadian citizen or permanent resident of Canada
-Under the age of 65 at the time of application

PEI residents age 65 years or older who:
-Live independently or with a spouse
-Have a net household income of $32,753 or less for a single person or $41,970 or less for a couple, as defined by line 236 on your CRA Notice of Assessment
-Have combined assets not greater than $100,000 excluding primary residence, land and vehicles

*Family members are eligible service providers if they do not live in the same home as the senior

All Stratford property owners, either residential or commercial, with an existing sump pump or storm drain system connected directly to the municipal sanitary sewer system * This must be confirmed by a Town of Stratford employee prior to being accepted into the program or work commencing

Individuals may qualify if they meet one of the following criteria:

-Qualified for a disability benefit
-Qualified for the War Veterans Allowance
-In receipt of Prisoner of War Compensation
-A veteran who is eligible for, but is unable to access, a Contract Bed (also known as a Priority Access Bed)

Eligible survivors or primary caregivers may receive housekeeping and/or grounds maintenance benefits through the Veterans Independence Program for Survivors and the Veterans Independence Program for Primary Caregivers
