Individuals with muscular dystrophy who are registered clients of Muscular Dystrophy Canada

Survivors, family, and anyone affected by the issue of missing and murdered Indigenous women and girls

PEI resident as defined by the Drug Cost Assistance Act,, whose medication is included in the list of drugs covered by the National Pharmacare program

An eligible client must be a resident of Canada and any of the following:
-A First Nations person who is registered under the Indian Act (commonly referred to as a status Indian)
-An Inuk recognized by an Inuit land claim organization
-A child less than 2 years old whose parent is an NIHB-eligible client
To make sure that your child continues to be eligible for the program, you should apply for your child's Indian status or recognition from your Inuit land claim organization as soon as possible

For some clients, a self-government, or First Nations or Inuit health authority may be responsible for providing health benefits.

To access benefit coverage, show your health care provider your client identification to confirm your eligibility with the program.

Open to PEERS clients who are living with HIV or Hep C

Eligible applicants:

-Are pre-approved for out-of-province services from Health PEI
-Have not received financial travel support from a non-governmental source
If eligible, subsidy is:
-100% bus ticket subsidy for annual net household income of $0-$45,000
-50% bus ticket subsidy for annual net household income of $45,001-$65,000 Annual net household income is based on Line 236 on your most recent CRA Notice of Assessment

-PEI is their primary residence for at least six months plus a day each year

-Have filed their most recent tax return in PEI
- Residents who currently have coverage through other public drug programs such as the Seniors' or Diabetes programs also qualify for benefits through the Catastrophic Drug Program
