Residents of PEI with a total household income of $50,000 or less:
- Who own and live in the residence, or pay the total heating costs if renting
- Whose property is a primary residence or a year-round rental property
- Who have not received assistance from the Winter Warming Program for this property in the last five years
- Who agree to the efficiencyPEI Winter Warming Program terms and conditions

Must meet all of the following criteria:

- Be the legal property owner, business owner and/or a bona-fide farmer
- Single-family homes, detached, side-by-side, or row homes and apartment buildings are eligible
- First Nations buildings
- Municipal buildings
- Manufactured or mobile homes must have a permanent electrical utility connection to be eligible
- Buildings must be habitable and structurally sound
- Solar PV System must be eligible for your electric utility's net metering program (Maritime Electric and City of Summerside Electric Utility)
- Work must be complete within 12 months of approval letter

PEI residents who are planning to have a home built can apply and must be willing to:
-Have a certified Energy Advisor review the building plans before construction starts
-Be willing to implement customized recommendations provided by the Energy Advisor, who will also work with your builder to implement them
-Have your certified energy advisor conduct a follow up assessment on your new home within 12 months

Homeowners * Residential rental property owners (landlords)

Homeowners

-Open to PEI residents and landlords of residential properties
-Must apply within a year of installation
-Must own the property where the equipment was installed
-New buildings not eligible - building must be inhabited for six months

All Stratford property owners, either residential or commercial, with an existing sump pump or storm drain system connected directly to the municipal sanitary sewer system * This must be confirmed by a Town of Stratford employee prior to being accepted into the program or work commencing

PEI residents age 65 years or older who:
-Live independently or with a spouse
-Have a net household income of $32,753 or less for a single person or $41,970 or less for a couple, as defined by line 236 on your CRA Notice of Assessment
-Have combined assets not greater than $100,000 excluding primary residence, land and vehicles

*Family members are eligible service providers if they do not live in the same home as the senior

To be eligible must be:

-An individual with a disability diagnosed by a health professional
-Experiencing significant impairment as a result of a diagnosed disability that is expected to last for 12 months or more
-A PEI resident with a provincial health number
-A Canadian citizen or permanent resident of Canada
-Under the age of 65 at the time of application
