Travel to and from PEI

Provided by: COVID-19: Travel and Isolation Regulations

Service Description

Recreational travel to and from PEI has resumed. Travel regulations are based on the traveller's residence location and vaccination status. The below applies to travellers coming to PEI and PEI residents who travel within the listed regions.

ATLANTIC CANADA AND THE MAGDALEN ISLANDS
  • No isolation required if traveller has received two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine or one dose of vaccine and is 21 days post vaccine and has a PEI Pass.
  • If unvaccinated, or not 21 days post first vaccination, an 8 day isolation period is required. A COVID-19 test must be completed on Day 8 and the result must be negative. If positive, a longer isolation period is required (Public Health will inform the individual at the time of the call).
  • Kids under the age of 12 years cannot be vaccinated therefore they follow the rules that are applicable to their parents/guardians.
  • No travel streams will apply to residents of Atlantic Canada and the Magdalen Islands.
  • All travellers, including returning residents, will need to apply online for a PEI Pass, which is valid for multiple visits, if they do not want to isolate.
  • Magdalen Island residents are required to have proof of a negative PCR within 72 hrs before arrival in PEI.
