Student Financial Services - Student Loans and Bursaries

Service Description

Students can apply online for financial assistance to help pay for eligible costs associated with obtaining post-secondary education. By filling out the PEI Student Financial Assistance online application, students will be assessed for eligibility for the following:
  • Provincial student loans
  • Provincial student bursaries (Island Advantage Bursary)
  • Federal student loans
  • Federal grants

Applicants must be:
-Residents of PEI
-Canadian citizens or have landed immigrant or permanent resident status (Record of Landing required)
-First time applicants over age 22 years will undergo a credit history check
-A full time student at a designated post-secondary institution
-Must be willing to follow the loan repayment schedule once education is completed
