Service Description

Provides an opportunity for Island students who are completing their medical residency to apply for interest relief on their PEI student loans until the residency program is complete. The federal portion of student loans is not eligible for the repayment relief plan.

Eligibility:
Resident of PEI * Enrolled in a medical residency program * Have a PEI provincial student loan balance * Applicants may apply at any point during their medical residency but payment relief is not retroactive and will commence when the application is received.

Documents Required:
Completed application * Contract or confirmation letter from program administrator * Written proof of student loan balance
