Service Description
Provides a monthly non-taxable benefit to Old Age Security (OAS) pension recipients living in Canada.
Information
Eligibility:
Individuals ages 65 years or older who are receiving an Old Age Security (OAS) Pension and have a household income lower than the maximum annual threshold
Fees:
No fees
How to Access:
Service Canada automatically enrolls eligible individuals and will send a letter the month after they turn 64 * If not selected for automatic enrollment and you want to begin receiving OAS and GIS at age 65, apply online or at a Service Canada location
