Residential Addictions and Mental Health Recovery Program

Service Description
Offers up to 12 months of residential treatment for those struggling with addiction or mental health challenges. Offers a holistic three-phased approach:
- Orientation: Establishing a plan of care
- Active Treatment: A combination of recovery programming, peer support meetings, activities, and learning life skills
- Community Integration: Rebuilding family connections and preparing to transition back to the community
Information
Eligibility:
Adults ages 18 years and older who are struggling with mental health and/or addictions and also match the following criteria:
-Willing to provide release of medical and personal information to ensure their physician and others are involved in their circle of care
-Medications and mental health must be stabilized prior to entering residential treatment
-Must be able to communicate in English
-Must be physically and emotionally able to participate in classroom learning and engage in leisurely activities in the community (those with learning disabilities or literacy challenges will be assisted by staff)
-Physically able to walk up and down stairs (there is limited accommodation available that is wheelchair accessible)
-Willing to live in a communal setting, complete household chores, get along with other residents (men and women) of diverse backgrounds and culture
-Capable of own personal care; physical and mental illnesses must be those at a level of accommodation and support by Lennon House
-Be committed to recovery and aware that treatment may last up to one year
-Be willing to provide urine samples and breathalzyer tests when requested
-All prescribed medications must be provided by the local pharmacy, including over-the-counter medications
