Public Health - Smoking Cessation Program

Service Description

Helps residents who want to stop smoking by covering the full cost of a 12-week course of treatment once per year. There are two options for treatment:
  • Option 1: Non-Prescription Nicotine Replacement Therapy products such as patches, gum, lozenges, or inhaler
  • Option 2: Approved prescription medication (Zyban or Champix)

Eligibility:
Adults ages 19 years and over who want to quit smoking * Applicants must have exhausted all private health insurance options first * Participants can access the program once per year * Children ages 18 years and under who wish to quit smoking can contact their local Primary Care Network Office to determine treatment options
