PEI Pharmacare - High Cost Drug Program

Service Description
Provides eligible applicants with financial assistance to help pay for approved drugs for certain conditions including, but not limited to:
- Ankylosing Spondylitis
- Cancer
- Crohn's Disease
- Multiple Sclerosis
- Plaque Psoriasis
- Pulmonary Hypertension
- Psoriatic Arthritis
- Rheumatoid Arthritis
- Wet Age-Related Macular Degeneration

Eligibility:
Individuals diagnosed with one of the conditions covered by the program
Fees:
Yes * Applicant must be able to pay their portion of prescription costs
How to Access:
Fill out High Cost Drug Application Form available on website and submit by mail, fax or email * A physician or diagnosing specialist must submit the Special Authorization Request Form and supporting medical documents * MS patients must also have their neurologist complete the MS Medications Program Screening Form
Documents Required:
Valid PEI Health Card * Completed application form * Must have filed most recent income tax
