Park Street Emergency Shelter

Service Description
Provides an overnight shelter for adults experiencing homelessness.The gender inclusive 50-bed shelter offers units that have one or two dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathroom and showers. Services include:
- Showers
- Accessible units for individuals with physical mobility challenges
- Laundry facilities
- Overnight storage for personal belongings including bicycles
- Breakfast and light meal options such as sandwiches
- Transportation by a free shuttle bus to downtown is available each morning
- Referrals to community partner organizations for support services
- Pets can be accommodated if there are no other options for pet care
- Beds can be booked for up to 30 days at a time
- Transportation to and from the shelter from outside Charlottetown can be arranged, if required through the Shelter Support Line at 1-833-220-4722
Note: When wind chill temperatures reach -20°C or lower for two consecutive hours, the shelter opens at 4pm instead of 8pm.

How to Access:
Call the Shelter Support Line to book a bed * Intake and safety screening completed at each stay * Clients are asked to arrive before 10pm to claim their bed * Gates to the shelter close at 12am * Individuals utilizing shelter can come and go until 2am

Not applicable, but a form of personal identification is encouraged
Program Hours:
During severe cold weather, the shelter opens at 5pm instead of 8pm * Call to confrim
