Pap Screening and Cervical Cancer Prevention

Service Description

Provides regular pap tests for women to help reduce the risk of cervical cancer. Women age 21 years or older should have a pap test every 2 years. Please note that clinics (appointment required) are held at various locations across PEI each year and the most current location information and dates can be found online.

Information

Eligibility:
Women with a valid PEI Health Card who:
-Are ages 21-65 years and have been sexually active (includes intercourse and/or oral or touch with a male or female partner's genital area)
-Are over age 65 years and have not had three negative tests in the last 10 years

How to Access:
Submit the online Appointment Request Form or call the toll free number to book an appointment at a Cervical Cancer Screening Clinic in your community OR call your family physician or nurse practitioner to set up an appointment
