Service Description

Islanders who have been pre-approved for out-of-province medical services may be eligible for assistance to pay for travel to their appointments through the following programs:
  • Maritime Bus Program: Fare subsidies are available for eligible applicants to get to appointments in New Brunswick and Nova Scotia
  • Hope Air Flight, Bridge and Ferry Toll Programs: See 211 listing for Hope Air, the province partners with Hope Air on these initiatives but application process is directly through Hope Air

Maritime Bus Program: 100% bus ticket subsidy if annual net household income if $0-$35,000 * 50% bus ticket subsidy if annual net household income is $35,001-$50,000 * Annual net household income is based on Line 236 on your most recent CRA Notice of Assessment
