Service Description
Peer-operated 24/7 overdose prevention hotline provides confidential, non-judgmental support for individuals who use drugs and their friends and family. Steps include:
- Call the toll-free number and make a rescue plan with an operator
- Operator stays on the call for 15-20 minutes after use of drugs
- Stay connected with the operator until possibility of overdose is eliminated, and then disconnect the call by confirming the safety
- At this point, if operator doesn't hear any response from the caller, rescue plan is executed
