Mental Health Services - Residential Program

Service Description
An independent living program for individuals who are struggling with their mental health wanting a residential experience (up to 28 days). Participants are responsible for their own laundry, cooking, and light cleaning. The program includes:
- Attending Day Treatment Program
- Recreation activities
- Pharmacy education
- Occupational therapy support
- Life skills development (cooking, cleaning, budgeting, etc.)
- Facilitation to a safe return to community living (linking to community supports and resources)
- Family support groups
Information
Eligibility:
Open to all PEI residents age 18 years and older who are experiencing mild to moderate symptoms of a psychiatric diagnosis that do not require hospitalization and are compliant with their medications.
Must be:
-Inactive in substance use
-Psychiatrically stable
-Must have stable housing in place before entering the program

How to Access:
Request a referral from physician, psychologist, nurse practitioner, registered nurse, occupational therapist, social worker or inpatient acute care service * Referral form available online
