Service Description

Provides virtual health care to Islanders who are currently without a primary care provider. Patients can speak to a PEI physician virtually to have an assessment, diagnosis, e-prescription, lab requisitions, and more.

Health PEI is operating the program in partnership with a secure private healthcare platform, Maple.

Accessing the program does not remove patients from the waitlist or change their position on the waitlist.

Information

Eligibility:
Individuals without a primary care provider who are registered for the Provincial Patient Registry or had been a patient of a doctor listed on the Access Care webpage who has closed their practice

No fees
How to Access:
Sign up for the Provincial Patient Registry then book an appointment online * Be sure to book the appointment via the Health PEI website and not directly through Maple. Booking directly through Maple is considered a private appointment and the site will ask for credit card information. Health PEI covered appointments do not charge a fee.
