Service Description

Provides home delivery of library materials including books, DVDs, CDs, audiobooks, and DAISY talking books to those unable to visit the library for health reasons. Items are chosen by library staff and delivered by volunteers every 6 weeks.

Note: A similar delivery service is available for Community Care Facilities. Facility administration must contact PEI Public Library Service Headquarters to register for this program on behalf of residents.

Information

Eligibility:
People unable to visit the library due to any of the following: Physical disability * Chronic illness * Visual impairment * Restricted mobility * Recovery from surgery or illness lasting 8 weeks or longer * Other medical reasons will be considered on a case by case basis
Fees:
No fees * Fees only charged if materials are returned late, lost or are damaged
