Service Description

Staff are available to help people who visit the archives in person to do family tree or historical research on PEI subjects. Includes:
  • Helping first time visitors register for a Public Archives and Records Office research pass
  • Answering research questions, suggesting search strategies and retrieving requested material
  • Copying and digital imaging of collection items for a fee
  • Providing limited research assistance to those who ask questions by phone, mail or email
COVID-19 Update: All visitors are currently required to sign in at the Atlantic Technology Centre Security Desk on the main level before proceeding to the Archives. Due to physical distancing requirements, only a limited number of patrons can be in the reading room at one time. Please call ahead to book an appointment to ensure staff can accommodate your visit.
