Housing Services - Seniors Home Repair Program

Service Description

Provides up to $4,000 in financial assistance to seniors to help with eligible home repairs such as:
  • Roof repairs
  • Windows and doors 
  • Furnace
  • Plumbing
  • Electrical
  • Heating
  • Structural or life safety repairs


-Individuals 60 year and older at the time of application
-PEI resident (have a PEI Health Card) and a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident
-Combined income is $50,000 or less
-Property is your principle residence and you currently reside in the home
-Owner of the property or have a life interest in the property
-Property value is $300,000 or less
-Not met the maximum grant through previous applications to the PEI Home Renovation Programs

How to Access:
Complete an application form and submit to the PEI Home Renovation Programs/Housing Programs office in person, by mail or via any Access PEI location * Application forms are also available to be printed from the website
Documents Required:
Notice of Assessment from previous tax year * Proof of home ownership * Two price quotes for the work the applicant wishes to have done to their home
