Service Description

Offers programs and services to support the health and well-being of Indigenous people in

Epekwitk / PEI. Includes:

  • Improving access to health programs and services for First Nation communities
  • Empowering Epekwitnewaq Mi'kmaq to manage their health and well-being
  • Increasing awareness of the health and wellness programs available in Epekwitk / PEI
  • Strengthening capacity within First Nation communities to address unique health and safety concerns
  • Advocating for the health and wellness needs of First Nations people and communities in Epekwitk / PEI
  • Fostering collaboration with government organizations, non-governmental organizations, and Indigenous organizations
  • Ensuring the health and wellness needs of Epekwitnewaq Mi'kmaq are reflected in health policies, programs, and procedures

Eligibility:
Abegweit First Nation and Lennox Island First Nation members who live on-reserve * Jordan's Principle Service Coordination is available to both on and off reserve clients
