Health: Anti-viral Treatment for COVID-19 (Paxlovid)

Service Description
In PEI, individuals who are at higher risk of more severe outcomes from COVID-19, such as hospitalizations, and who do not have any contraindications for the treatment, may be eligible for anti-viral prescriptions.
Information
Eligibility:
Individuals who have tested positive and are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms that developed within the last five days and who meet at least one of the following criteria:
-Ages 18 years and older with underlying medical conditions that lead to high risk of severe outcomes, regardless of vaccination status
- Ages 50 years and older, regardless of vaccination status
-Ages 18 years and older with underlying medical conditions that lead to high risk of severe outcomes, regardless of vaccination status
- Ages 50 years and older, regardless of vaccination status
Fees:
No fees (May be a dispensing fee)
