Free Masks and Mask Use Regulations

Service Description

WHEN AND WHERE TO I HAVE TO WEAR A MASK?

Non-medical masks are required in all indoor spaces in PEI, with the following exceptions:
  • School: Not required for grades K-3
  • Not required when seated at an indoor event if there is a minimum of 6 feet of physical distance between individuals of different households of close social groups. Masks are required when not seated.
Masks are recommended for outdoor settings where physical distancing is not possible and are recommended for those who serve the public.

IS THERE FINANCIAL HELP AVAILABLE TO BUY MASKS?

The provincial government has made non-medical face masks available for pickup through local food banks. Islanders can contact any of the following food banks to get masks for themselves or their families:
