Free Electric Hot Water Heater Program

Service Description
Provides a free electric hot water heater to eligible applicants.
Access PEI will connect approved applicants with a contractor who will do the installation of the hot water tank.
Note: Households who have already applied for a free heat pump do not need to apply; staff will be in contact to help with updates to the application.

Information
Eligibility:
Individuals with a family income below $55,000 and a home assessed for taxes at less than $300,000 * It must be your principle residence * Water in the house must be heated by fossil fuels

Documents Required:
Proof of income from July GST Credit Notice (both pages) * Proof of tax assessed property value
