Service Description

Provides repayable loans up to $10,000 towards 100% of invoiced costs to help homeowners with upfront costs for equipment, materials, and installation for applicants approved under the following efficiencyPEI programs:

  • Energy Efficient Equipment Rebate
  • Home Insulation Rebate
  • Energy Efficiency Loan Program for Solar Photovoltaic Equipment

Approved applicants can apply for one loan under this program. However, after the loan is paid off, they can apply for another loan.

Eligibility:
Resident of PEI * Registered owner(s) of the property being upgraded * Live in the property to be upgraded as their year-round primary residence * Be pre-approved under one of the following efficiencyPEI programs:
-Energy Efficient Equipment Rebate
-Home Insulation Rebate
-Energy Efficiency Loan Program for Solar Photovoltaic Equipment
Fees:
No fees * Must have financial capacity to repay loan
How to Access:
Once pre-approval is received by applicant from efficiencyPEI, apply online or email or mail the completed the Energy Efficiency Loan Program application form (available online)
