Service Description

Negative Test Results

Negative COVID-19 test results are available online within 48 hours of testing.

If test results do not appear online within 48 hours, or if you have difficulty/are unable to access test results online, email or call and leave a voicemail.

Results remain online for 14 days from the date of test.

A negative test result does not automatically mean that an end to self-isolating. Depending on the situation, an individual may be required to complete a self-isolation period or have additional COVID-19 testing:
  • If tested because experiencing symptoms and the result is negative, isolation can stop after a negative online result
  • If tested because of being in close contact with someone who has tested positive, you will be instructed on a required isolation period (up to 14 days)
Individuals may be eligible for exemption from self-isolation if they are without symptoms and cross borders for work as part of an essential service (including health care workers).

Positive Test Results

The Chief Public Health Office will call individuals who test positive.
