Service Description

Helps build a customized program to meet the specific needs of an individual who has an intellectual disability and/or dual disabilities. Staff are matched to the applicant.

Some examples of services that might be offered to individuals with an intellectual disability and their families include:

  • Respite if needed by the senior parent or caregiver
  • Support if needed in-home to help the client learn home safety skills, life skills, etc.
  • Person needs to work on building independence from their family

Families of individuals who have an intellectual disability and/or dual disabilities who live in Kings County * Funding must be approved by AccessAbility Supports Program
