Service Description

Provides support and prevention services to assist Mi'kmaq families who are experiencing or at risk of experiencing difficulties at home that could impact the overall safety and wellbeing of their children. There are two components to the program:
  • Mi'kmaq PRIDE Family Program: Family support and prevention program for children, youth and families living on-reserve
  • Designated Representative: A person designated by the Band Council to represent the Band respecting Aboriginal children as per the PEI Child Protection Act. (for families living on or off reserve)

How to Access:
People can self-refer or referrals can be submitted by other service providers

Not applicable for self-referrals * Service providers must submit a completed referral form with the consent of the individual being referred
