Service Description
Provides shelter accommodation for women in Epekwitk / PEI. Residents have access to:
- Employment services
- Parenting programs
- Life skills programs
- Services of the Lennox Island Health Centre
- A safe and supportive housing environment
Emergency stays at the shelter can be up to six weeks. Indigenous women who have left a violent relationship or who find themselves in a homeless situation can apply and be assessed for a one year stay at the shelter.
Transportation can be arranged.

Eligibility:
Female identifying and non-binary PEI residents ages 18 years and older who are in distress, without housing, or are a young mother who needs extra support * Children may accompany their mothers but male children must be age 14 years and younger * Open to Indigenous and non-Indigenous women
