Camp Got2Go

Service Description

Overnight summer camp for youth living with Crohn's, colitis, an ostomy, or a cecostomy. Campers get to form friendships with other youth who share a similar experience. Food and activities are specialized. Activities include:
  • Canoeing
  • Drama
  • Cooking
  • Environmental education
  • Outdoor recreation
  • Fine arts
  • Swimming

Information

Eligibility:
Canadian residents ages 9-17 years who have been diagnosed with Crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis * Applicants must be healthy enough to attend overnight camp
Fees:
Camp fees are based on a 'pay what you can' fee structure

Documents Required:
Completed Medical Authorization Form signed by your child's gastroenterologist or GI nurse (confirming your child's Crohn's or colitis diagnosis and your child's ability to attend a one-week, overnight camp) * Signed General Authorization Form * COVID-19 Waiver and Self Declaration Form * A brief summary (200-word maximum), in the child's own words, on why they would like to attend Camp Got2Go (see website for more details) OR the child can draw a picture or create a short 30 second video message
