    • Children's Christmas Party, Native Council of PEI: Open to Members of NCPEI ages 16 years and younger
      When: November 30th, 2pm-4pm. Registration deadline is November 17th
      Where: Dr. Roddie Community Centre (St. Peter's Bay Firehall), 5549 Route 2, St Peter's Bay

    • Christmas Party, Alzheimer Society of PEI: Open to all, including seniors, caregivers, and persons living with dememtia.
      When: December 17th, 1pm-3pm
      Where: Cavendish Farms Wellness Centre, 21 Sullivan Lane, Montague
      Details: A free, fun festive afternoon with refreshments, Christmas music, cookie decoratind, socializing, and visit from sanata.  Pre-registration required. Call 902-628-2257, email society@alzpei.ca, or register online.

    • DIY Outdoor Christmas Planter and Meal, Native Council of PEI: Open to all members of NCPEI
      When: November 25th, 5pm-7pm. Registration deadline is November 17th
      Where: NCPEI Portage Office, 35262 Western Road, Portage
      Details: Part of the SAFE program. Build an outdoor Christmas Planter and have a meal together. Pre-registration required. Email safe2@ncpei.com
    • Free Community Supper, Comité acadien et francophone de l'Est : Open to all, 
      When: December 2nd, 5pm-7pm
      Where: Pavillion de L'est, 861 Route 2, Rollo Bay
      Details: Free festive dinner of meat pie, vegetables, and dessert. No cost. Drop in.
    • Holiday Host Program, IRSA: Open to newcomers / residents (to be a volunteer host)
      When: Over the holiday season. Registration deadline is December 20th.
      Where: Across PEI
      Details: Newcomers are matched with island residents to share in holiday traditions, such as a Christmas meal, seasonal activity, or party

    • Seniors' Christmas Dinner, Morell Lions Club: Open to all older adults
      When: December 6th. Doors open at 2pm for cards, dinner is served at 4pm. Registration deadline is November 24th.
      Where: Morell Firehall, 15 Park St, Morell
      Details: Enjoy a festive Christmas dinner in a friendly environment. Pre-registration required. Call Shawn Ryan at 902-629-5878. Take out or delivery is available upon request.
    • Seniors' Christmas Party, Souris Lions Club: Open to all older adults
      When: December 12th, 7pm-10pm 
      Where: Souris Legion, 56 Main Street, Souris
      Details: Enjoy an evening with music and a light lunch. A drive may be able to be arranged, if required. For general inquiries, call 902-357-2117 or email sourislions@gmail.com

    • Christmas Day Turkey Dinner, St. Paul's Catholic Parish Church: Open to all
      When: December 25th, 1pm-3pm
      Where: St. Paul's Catholic Parish Church, 289 Winter Street, Summerside
      Details:  Free Christmas Day turkey dinner with all the trimmings, music, and fun in a welcoming atmosphere. Pre-register by December 15th by calling Linda or Wayne at 902-436-4005.
    • Christmas in Summerside, IRSA: Open to all
      When: November 26th, 4pm-7pm
      Where: Credit Union Place, 511 Notre Dame Street, Summerside
      Details:  An afternoon of festive family fun, with activities, hot chocolate, appetizers, and a visit from Santa. Drop in - pre-registration not required
    • Christmas Party, CNIB: Open to all CNIB members and their guest
      When: November 22nd, 5pm-7pm
      Where: Gentlemen Jim’s Restaurant, 480 Granville Street, Summerside

    • Christmas Party, Aboriginal Women's Association of PEI: Open to all members.

    • Kijiji Celebration, Black Cultural Society of PEI: Open to all
      When: November 29th, 1pm-4pm
      Where: St. Peter's Hall, 7 All Souls lane, Charlottetown
      Details: Come together in joy and gratitude at Kijiji Celebration: Honoring Our Village, a heartwarming gathering celebrating unity, culture, and togetherness. There will be food. Free. Dop in.
    • Seniors' Christmas Dinner, North Rustico Lions Club: Open to seniors in the North Rustico area
      When: December 14th at 6pm
      Where: North Rustico Lions Club, 17 Timber Lane, North Rustico
      Details: Full Christmas dinner. Dine in only. Cost is $5. Tickets can be purchased at the North Rustico Lions Club bar.
    • Seniors' Christmas Dinner, Tracadie Lions Club: Open to anyone 60 years and older
      When: November 30th at 4pm
      Where: Tracadie Community Centre, 148 Station Road, Mount Stewart
      Details: A free festive dinner. No registration required - drop in. If questions, email tracadielions@gmail.com or message via Facebook
    • Seniors' Christmas Dinner, Stratford and Area Lions Club: Open to seniors in the Stratford area
      When: November 30th at 4pm
      Where: Our Lady of Assumption Church Hall, 151 Stratford Rd
      Details: Full Christmas dinner. Tickets required. Can be picked up at the Lions Club at the Mason Rd roundabout exit on Saturday, November 15th at 10am. First come, first-serve basis.

  • Write to Santa. Santa will reply before Christmas if you send him a letter by December 8th! And he replies in the same language as the letter!

  • If you are looking to make a gift or monetary donation to a holiday program, below is a list of programs that use the donations to provide gifts or food during the holidays. Many listed are also looking for volunteers.  Please click on the green, underlined name below for full details.

    • All of the programs listed above in the Holiday Hampers & Gifts section are accepting donations.
    • Santas for Seniors - Western PEI: Accepts monetary donations to buy gifts buy gifts for all residents in a Community Care/Manors from Tignish to Wellington.
    • Santas for Seniors - Montague Area: Choose a tag and purchase a Christmas gift for a senior who resides in local nursing homes. Monetary donations are also accepted to purchase gifts. The tree filled with the wishes can be found at the Cavendish Farms Wellness Centre in Montague, 21 Sullivan Drive.  
    • Trans Wish List, PEI Transgender Network: Wishlists will be featured on PEITN's social media throughout the month of December.
    • White Cross Christmas Campaign, CHMA: Donations are used to provide a gift package for program members.
    • Christmas Sweets, Inclusions East: Support their programs to build skills for people with intellectual disabilities through purchasing holiday treats.
    • Christmas Wish Program, PEI Family Violence Prevention Services: Match with parents/guardians who have stayed at Anderson House or who were part of the Outreach program, to provide a $50 gift card to a requested store.
    • Food Drive, New Haven Army Cadets: Drive thru food collection. December 14th, 11am-3pm at Kingston Legion, 15383 Trans-Canada Hwy, Clyde River.
    • Christmas Toy Drive, VirtueLife Financial: Toy donations being collected December 1st-20th, 9am-5pm at 28A Myrtle Street, Stratford and 539 Main Street, Montague.
    • Tots for Toys, Ocean 100: Toy drive. See website for donation drop-off information.
    • Angel Tree Christmas, Prison Fellowship Canada: Connects church communities and individuals with families of prisoners through the delivery of a Christmas gift on behalf of a parent who is incarcerated.
    • Mitten Tree, Summerside Trinity United Church:  Donate items until December 12th or at the Sunday serices on December 7th and 14th.
    • Feed My Sheep Christ Celebration Breakfast , Summerside Trinity United Church: Contact for suggested gift donations that will be distributed to breakfast program guests.
    • Holiday Host Program, IRSA: Seeking Island residents to volunteer to host newcomers for a holiday tradition such as Christmas meal, party, or festive event. 
    • Adopt-a Family, Wendell Taylor's Garage, Stratford: Nominate a family to have Wendell's Garage purchade gifts and food gift card for them. Nominations are confidential.
    • Book Donations, PEI Public Libraries: All PEI Libraries are accepting donations of new and very gently used books for children. Books will be given to local food banks for distribution as part of their Christmas Hamper program. Donations accepted October 28th-November 18th.
    • West Prince Toy Drive: Donate new, unwrapped toys. November 30th, 1pm-4pm. Drop-off location at Alberton, Miminegash, O'Leary, Tignish, and West Point Fire Departments. Donations go to West Prince Christmas Hampers.
    • Cops for Christmas, Summerside Police Services: Accepting donations of toys  on November 29th, 9am-12pm at Credit Union Place, 511 Notre Dame Street, Summerside
    • Shelters across PEI:Shelters accept Christmas gifts for residents
    • Be a Santa to a Resident, Prince Edward Home/Beach Grove Home (Charlottetown): Call 902-368-6758
    • Be a Santa to a Resident: Many nursing homes across PEI welcome Christmas gift donations for residents. Call or visit your local nursing home.
    • Food Banks across PEI: All food banks are accepting donations for their regular service and their holiday hampers
    • Hillsborough Hospital, Charlottetown: Suggested donations of small gifts such as unscented lotions and body care products, puzzle books, games, slippers, sweaters, candy, gift cards, etc.
  • There are several non-profit organizations that run low cost/free used clothing and household goods programs in PEI. Click on the links below for information.
